The book is great for kids The book is great for kids, but there is a flaw in how it was built. The kids are supposed to cut the letters out at the bottom of the page; however, the pages are double sided. This means that you have to copy each page of the workbook before your child can cut out the letters or you will ruin the next lesson.Perfect as a supplemental aid for Sight Words! This was exactly what I was expecting. I'm a Pre-K teacher who works with 4 year-olds. For many of them, this is their first school experience. This book is a wonderful tool. It covers the list of Sight Words that we are supposed to learn in class over the course of the year, so I pick three a week and send them home one a night as homework. The kids love them and they've retained all of the words that we've learned so far. This is not meant to be used as the ONLY method that you use to teach these words, but rather as a supplemental. When used in that sense, this book has proved itself to be a very valuable resource!these are amazing practice books So many reviews knocked this book due to the "cutting and pasting" error. There is definitely an error but otherwise, these are amazing practice books. I ended up scanning in all the pages to my computer and printed half of them. Then I printed the other half upside down--therefore getting rid of the error. I homeschool so I scan in all workbook pages. Therefore, printing half of them out upside down was not a big deal to me, especially since I will be using this book for multiple children.
