This volume presents a comprehensive, multifaceted picture both of the destructive dynamic of the Nazi leadership and of the attitudes and behavior of ordinary Germans as the persecution of the Jews spiraled into total genocide.

Difficult to read. Not what I expected. Would be a good book for a college class and to dig down, however, not an enjoyable casual read.Excelent A very well writen review of the final days of the third reich (from the failed assesination attempt to the final fall). Ian Kershaw reviews the most turbulent and violent period of the Third Reich and provides a detailed insight of the complex forces that enable the German state to continue the war longer than anyone could reasonably expect. As every Kershaw book it is extremely well documented.Excellent and solid historical essays Unfailingly interesting and solid essays on the profound question that has troubled and will always trouble historians of World War II period in Europe, namely how could Germany have succumbed to the evil enchantment of Hitler and the Nazis? And, could it happen here? Highly recommended.

I've been teaching myself Spanish, mostly through as many audio courses as I can find. All of them will help you learn if you want to learn, and each will provide something different. Generally, the most recent one you've listened to will be the 'best' because you've already heard the concept or the word several times in several other ways. Paul Noble gives you several different ways of learning and multiple memory tricks that are simple and effective. The Spanish speakers (one from Latin America and one from Spain) speak slowly and clearly, which not only helps to improve your accent but also to help you understand the words. The format includes increasingly challenging sentences, but they are not so hard that you don't get some or most of it. I doubt anybody will learn any language after listening to one program only once, and Paul Noble's series has a nice mixture of repetition (but not so much that you get bored) and new vocabulary and concepts. I have gone through all 4 of the Spanish levels, and I like all of them a lot. I wish he had more levels! For comparison, I also have 3 of Mark Frobose's series, 1000 Spanish verbs in context, and an11-hour long one-- Learn in your Car 2014 audible version. Of these, I think Paul Noble's series is one of the best and also a great price. If I had to rank by which to use first in ease of use, it would be Paul Noble's series, then Mark Frobose's (one or two, then they repeat too much), then Learn in your Car (which goes from easy to quite complex), and last the 1000 Spanish Verbs (which is still too hard for me to follow at this stage).Quick, Easy and Engaging with Great Results Though I have only had use of the program for a day, I am greatly satisfied with very impressive quick results. I anticipate continuous leaps and bounds growth with my participation in this very very unique approach to language instructions.
